I have several interests to share through this blog including my love of needlework, quilting, cooking, and my pets, Molly and Butterscotch. Hopefully I will be able to keep up with adding to most of these areas over time. I hope you enjoy it.

Picture Walk of the Last Year of Finishes

I’ve been absent from blogging for over a year now.  I found that the app that I was using on my iPad no longer worked as it hasn’t kept up to date with the Apple updates.  I will try to do it using Safari and Blogger and see how that goes...well that didn't go so well so I'm using my computer as I figure out how to add photos using Google photos...

In any case, following up on my last post for the most part I have kept my sewing room in order.  I am working on a quilting project right now so that tends to make it looked more lived in.  This past summer I joined a block of the week through Primitive Gatherings.  It is wool appliqué on cotton and I am almost done with all twelve blocks.  Here is a sample of that project...

Top left (flower blocks) is the Summer Block of the Week (SBOW) - 7 blocks completed earlier this year.  Top right (house blocks) are the freebie blocks we received each week along with the main blocks.  Bottom row is last years freebie series that I decided to stitch along with this year's series.  To date I am finished with all 12 blocks for the 2017 SBOW and freebies.  I now have to piece the blocks together, plus I still have some 2016 blocks to finish.

Here are a couple of more mini quilts that I have pieced together and need to get quilted.

I took some samplers to Jill Rensel for framing when I went to the Shepherd's Bush retreat last fall and got them back a few months later...

"Over the River" from Jeannette Douglas

"Autumn Gifts" from Plum Street Samplers

"A Merry Heart" from Plum Street Samplers

"Gratitude Sampler" from Shepherd's Bush.  The kit was gifted to me from my
good friend Cathy Boyd.

Some pin cushions were finished this year.  Here is a sample...

I finished my Everyday Crazy Table Mat from Primitive Gatherings...

...and appliqued a couple of wool pin cushions...

Tomorrow I will post about classes taken over the past year.
